The Brand
TIMEX is probably the best known watch brand in the world, right next to Swatch. But let's be honest--TIMEX's "Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'" slogan makes it a bit cooler. And with over 15 of today's hottest watch brands under the TIMEX umbrella, including Versace, Ferrgamo and Guess?, chances are you're wearing one right now.
The Goal and My Role
The folks at TIMEX wanted to create a watch that paid tribute to Giorgio Galli, their creative director for over 20 years, and which embodied everything TIMEX stands for; essentially the TIMEX of Today, a modern classic, and--as we devised during the ideation process--the most 'TIMEX Timex' ever made. As part of the creative team from the outset, I wrote all content from the pitch to the finished marketing materials, bringing the GG S.1 Automatic to life with vivid, distinct copy that also upheld the characteristic TIMEX tone of voice.
